
Parmelee Man Pleads Guilty to Sexual Abuse

United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that Randall Carl Little Thunder, age 40, of Parmelee, South Dakota, appeared before United States District Judge Roberto A. Lange on July 12, 2012, and pled guilty to Sexual Abuse. The maximum penalty upon conviction is life imprisonment, a $250,000 fine, or both. The conviction stems from an incident that took place on or about June 23, 2011, when Little Thunder had sexual contact with the victim who was incapable of giving consent. The investigation was conducted by Rosebud Sioux Tribe Law Enforcement Services. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Tim Maher. A presentence investigation was ordered, and a sentencing date was set for October 1, 2012. The defendant was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal pending sentencing. |
